Virat Kohli, who is well-known for his dedication to fitness, often shares glimpses of his workout routines with his fans on social media. Recently, the former India skipper uploaded a video on Instagram showcasing his gym session, during which he can be seen performing squats with a dumbbell. In the caption, he mentioned that goblet squats are his go-to exercise for both mobility and strength.
Kohli showcased his exceptional skills in the first Test of India’s tour of the West Indies. Despite the challenging conditions that favored spinners, he managed to contribute 76 runs with his bat. India dominated the match and defeated the West Indies by an innings and 141 runs within three days at Windsor Park in Roseau.
Ravichandran Ashwin played a pivotal role in the victory, taking 5-60 to dismiss the West Indies for 150 in their first innings on a slow, turning wicket. In response, India accumulated 421-5 before declaring their innings, with debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal (171) and captain Rohit Sharma (103) leading the charge.
With a lead of 271 runs, the West Indies struggled in their second innings and were bowled out for just 130. Ashwin once again wreaked havoc, claiming an impressive 7-71. Despite Ashwin’s exceptional performance, Jaiswal was awarded the player-of-the-match title for his outstanding contribution to the team’s victory.
